{ Maternity } Ephrata Wa Maternity Photographer ~

I have not had the opportunity to photograph many expecting mothers, so when I got the chance to photograph this Momma who rocked her maternity shoot I was very excited! I generally shoot lots of families and do family photography so something different was new and fun :) We walked around her property trying to find spots for photos and prayed the weather would hold out for us since it wasn’t looking very promising that morning! Lucky for us the weather in eastern Washington cooperated enough to give us the chance to get some beautiful shots. Enjoy these photos and stay tuned for my blog update of her itty bitty bundle that I also had the pleasure of shooting. Newborn photography is one of my favorite types of photography so getting to shoot both in the belly and out of the belly was fun!

{ Children } Ephrata Washington Photographer ~Evening shoot with LadyK

The sun on Saturday evening was glowing and golden so I decided I needed to take Kinleigh out and play with my 85mm lens and the sunshine. I am struggling to find a sweet spot and fall in love with that lens but after shooting for an hour or so with my little lady I think with practice I may come to love it!?!? I sure hope so! There were many bribes to snap these photos as you can see. Bubbles, swings, teddy bears……..We would snap a few and play a few, snap a few and play a few. I love photographing children and children are the primary reason I became a photographer so this was quite enjoyable and I was pleased to produce some stuff I love! The biggest problem I have now is that I love these pics but have nothing new of my boys to go along with them for my wall! One of these days I vow to take my 3 out in yummy sunlight and get amazing pictures of them together or at least at the same time so I can put something BIG on my wall of all 3 of them!

{ Newborn } { Children } Ephrata WA Photographer ~What have I been up to lately?

The last couple months have been full of newborns and people having babies and I have been so fortunate to get to take photographs of many gorgeous new babies. A couple months ago I photographed the gorgeous Gracie and fell in love with her! She was such a cooperative baby! Either the babies are getting easier or Lindsay and I are figuring out better what we’re doing LOL My Mom got to come to this newborn photoshoot with us and watch us in action which made me feel proud :) I love sharing my passion with everyone, but especially with my Mom. She’s my biggest fan. Miss Gracie had the most gorgeous gallery that I don’t know how her Mom ever chose which pictures to order! Unfortunately the weekend we did Gracie’s photos her big brother and sister were not at home so we had to schedule another photoshoot to get a pic of all three kids together. Miss Gracie grew so much in those two months I couldn’t believe it! She’s just the most adorable little thing though. And her big brother and sister were the most cooperative adorable kids I’ve had the honor of photographing to date! I always get a bit nervous with kids because you just never know what you’re going to get, and the majority of the time it’s NOT cooperation. These two kids were coming up with ideas and poses of their own, making eachother laugh and just having an all around good time. I left that photoshoot with a feeling of amazement and accomplishment. Many thanks to the Judkins family for this opportunity! Now to share some pictures!

{ Children } Ephrata Wa Photographer ~Little ones are busy busy busy

Photographed a friends little guy and he kept me on my toes! This little man makes me earn every penny I make on his photoshoots! My nephew might have given him a run for his money a couple weeks ago, but it’s a tough call! Balls, bubbles, hats, balloons, ANYTHING we could think of to catch his attention and I still only managed to catch one or two smiles while he was trying to throw balls at my camera :p LOL

I also went back and finished off the twins photoshoot. We thought it might work best if we did it in two sessions as attention spans of 1yr old twins isn’t very long ;) Momma of these adorable babies and I were both pleased with what we were able to get, although they too were nearly impossible to get looking at the camera at the same time, let alone giving me smiles at the same time! In the end it was a fun photoshoot and something different then I normally do!

{ Family } Ephrata WA Photographer ~Fun Family!

I was lucky to get to photograph this family last month. What a fun family they were to photograph! We got some silly stuff, some serious stuff and some downright gorgeous stuff :) They ordered their family photo as a giant canvas and it was amazing! It has inspired me to get myself some giant canvas’s up on my walls of my family! Who knew a client could inspire the photographer to decorate bigger and better!!!

{ Cake Smash } Ephrata WA Photographer ~A successful Cake Smash!!

My babysitter’s twins turned one and I got to go try another cake smash. I tried last year with Connor but that little guy was terrified of the plexi that I had him sitting on and we ended up taking pics of him eating his cake in his high chair LOL I was a bit nervous as this cake smash included two babies rather then one, but Lindsay and I went into it ready for anything and I think they did an amazing job :) I look forward to more cake smashes cause this was fun!

{Children} Ephrata WA Photographer ~Winter Wonderland

This weekend we finally got the much awaited SNOW! We had only had one snow this year back in November and it melted before anyone got to enjoy it. I am not one who loves the snow, however with the lack of snow, even I was wanting it to dump some white stuff on us! And dump it finally did :) I convinced my niece to go out with me Saturday morning and do some practice in the snow shots :) I think they turned out gorgeous and am so glad she was a trooper! It’s so difficult to get a child to pose naturally and look warm and comfortable when they are shaking like a leaf and shivering. Lucky me she worked for a very reasonable rate of only one hot cocoa from the coffee stand ;)
